In an explosion of sound, the five musicians begin their jam session.
Lead guitarist Tyler Watts takes his cue and begins to solo.
With fingers sliding up and down the neck, he syncopates the notes to the beats of the drums as well as harmonizing with the trumpet, keyboard, and bass.
“It’s the freedom of expression,” he says.
“You can listen to people play and sometimes you don’t know if it’s good or bad because it’s just jazz.”
