Th Gibson Les Paul is the most popular electric guitar. Its first model was the called the gold top, a solid body electric guitar. It came out in 1952 and was a overdubbing success. The latest model came out in 2008 a year before Les Paul died in 2009. Greatly popular with all musicians its influence is worldwide.

How did such artists as Eddie van Halen,Jimmy Hedrix or Slash get the tools needed to rock like they did?
